Aimed at maintaining local employment stability and minimising retrenchment within the Manawatū, this platform connects businesses that require resource, with those who are considering retrenchment because of COVID-19.
Local Talent's purpose is simple - to act as an enabler for resource sharing, with the hope that this will reduce the number of Manawatū locals who may lose their jobs because of COVID-19.
The process is simple
Busy? Scale-up by 'borrowing' an employee from another local business. Need cash flow relief? Temporarily scale down by listing your talent for secondment.

Let's keep our community employed
There are two key components to our website.
Firstly, the ‘Opportunities’ section, which is where businesses can list (at no expense) temporary roles they have available to be filled.
The ‘Talent’ section is where businesses can list (at no expense) resources that they have available for temporary contract positions.

The idea is similar to a secondment, where businesses temporarily transfer an employee to another position or employment. The idea is to match talent with opportunity, so temporary positions are filled by those who may have otherwise been made redundant.
